Innisfail Farm is a family operation nestled in the heart of Madison, GA. The family has devoted over five decades to the Hereford breed, a commitment that has shaped their legacy in the beef industry. Their journey began with a passion for raising and breeding quality cattle while caring for the land. Dedicated to the Certified Hereford Beef brand, Innisfail Farm is committed to the superior quality, exceptional flavor, and locally sourced beef customers have grown to love.
The Innisfail Family Farm is a 3rd generation farm.
The Innisfail Hereford program began more than 40 years ago and has grown to a 120 cow farm with an additional 50 ET calves annually. Typically, the Innisfails will AI about 180 head and then clean up with the best bulls they can get their hands on. They currently market about 75 females and 35 bulls annually through private treaty and consignment sales.
Over the last 4+ decades, the Innisfail family has come to learn the commercial producer’s needs and know what a purebred operation should produce. All their cattle are bred for optimum performance with minimal inputs. They have placed significant emphasis on udder quality and fertility while maximizing carcass quality and performance in an animal that’s structurally sound. If you take the time to analyze the combination of phenotype and EPD’s, you’ll find it difficult to identify cattle with better carcass merit. Breeding cows can be a long, drawn-out process and objectives are often distant, but the genetics the Innisfails have brought together can quickly enhance any cow herd.
A national search found Breck Debnam and Kacie Priebe. Breck was raised in the Hereford Industry, showing cattle in 4-H and FFA. He attended Black Hawk and Western Illinois University on a judging scholarship, where he successfully competed. Kacie has an Ag Education degree and will be a great asset to the Innisfail farm and community. Breck and Kacie worked in the Hereford Industry for a considerable amount of time and the Innisfails anticipate they will help implement their vision of Hereford Genetics.
The past few years have brought great success in the show ring for Dru, Seager, and Win. They’re all having a great time and learning so much, thanks to the 4-H program being such a great resource for the kids.
