JB Herefords A Legacy Rooted In Utah
Located at the base of the beautiful Wellsville Mountains in Northern Utah, JB Herefords is a multi-generational family ranch managed by my husband Kyson, our three kids, and me—alongside my parents, Julie and William (Billy) Jensen, the proud owners of J B Herefords LLC.
Our story began in 1918, when my great-grandparents Ray and Selma Jensen purchased the original 40 acres. Today, the ranch spans nearly 900 acres, and we meticulously grow all the hay and grain that feed our cattle.
During the Great Depression, Ray remained committed to improving his herd, developing a passion for Hereford cattle. After purchasing his first registered purebred Horned Hereford bull and 12 heifers, he joined the American Hereford Association under the name “Jensen Brother Herefords.” We’ve been proud members ever since!
In 1943, Ray shocked the locals when he went to Denver and bought a Hereford for a price that was unheard of in those days. Every year, Jensen Brothers Hereford put together a string of cattle that dominated show rings across the Western United States. The 5th generation has continued our family legacy of Herefords in the show ring.
Today, our breeding program focuses on multi-trait selection, fertility, calving ease, and producing cattle that deliver what we think is the finest beef—the bold, balanced flavor that defines Certified Hereford Beef®.

“We dined here for the first time on Friday, May 17, 2025. To start—our reservation was initially made for 7 people, but we ended up having 8. The hostess was very kind and accommodating, and we were very quickly seated. Our server, Lizzie, was absolutely fantastic…I got the 7oz Center-Cut Filet Mignon (Certified Hereford Beef) for my entree, topped with the black truffle butter, and brussels sprouts on the side. You could’ve cut the filet with a spoon, and the truffle butter—delectable. The brussels: roasted to perfection and paired with crispy bacon strips…Our experience here is one for the books, and I’m already looking forward to our next!”
