Fiscal year 2016 marked a year of growth for Certified Hereford Beef (CHB) LLC. CHB LLC posted a record year in volume at 54.8 million lbs. sold, a 7.1 percent and 3.6 million pound increase compared to 2015. The program intensified customer service by the addition of new leadership and regional brand managers.

The CHB LLC foodservice segment recorded a 3.5 million pound growth, or 22 percent, the largest CHB LLC segment growth in 2016.

“Our targeted and focused approach on strengthening and increasing pounds sold through current customers and identifying opportunities with future partners is becoming more streamlined and efficient,” said CHB LLC chief operating officer Amari Manning. “Our team is motivated by the growth opportunity for the brand, and we are excited to make a difference and impact in the market.”

As the demand for CHB continues to grow, so does the demand for high-quality Hereford and Hereford influenced cattle. The program saw a 10.2 percent growth in live-cattle marketed through the program, an increase of 34,364 head of Hereford and Hereford-influenced animals.
